Mobile apps
On mobile, I deliver two platforms from a single codebase: the same app runs on both iOS and Android, so you don't need two separate teams or budgets. Development is only part of it — store accounts, privacy policy, assets, and version updates are all part of the process, and I manage those as well.
Scope
- A single app for both platforms using React Native and Expo
- On-device workflows that don't require an internet connection
- Notifications, local storage, and background processing
- Management of App Store and Google Play publishing processes
- Privacy policy, store assets, and version updates
What you'll have at the end
- A single app live on both stores
- Store listings: description, graphics, and privacy policy
- A set-up publishing pipeline so you can roll out version updates
- You own the source code and store accounts
How it works
- 01
Intro call
We talk about what you want to build. If I don't think I'm the right fit, I'll tell you on that first call.
- 02
Scope and quote
Every deliverable is written down, and the timeline and price follow from that. Anything outside the scope gets discussed separately.
- 03
Development
I show you a working version at regular intervals. Feedback doesn't wait until the end; it comes in throughout.
- 04
Launch and after
We go live and I show your team how to use it. If you want maintenance, we keep going. If not, the system is entirely yours.
Frequently asked questions
- Are iOS and Android priced separately?
- No. Two platforms come out of a single codebase; no separate app is built. Only if a platform-specific feature is required is that scoped separately.
- Under whose name are the store accounts opened?
- Yours. The app is published under your account; I only manage the process. Apple and Google developer account fees belong to you.
- Does the app need a server?
- Not necessarily. Apps can be built with data staying entirely on the device — BreakChain works like this, using no server or database. If required, a backend can also be built.
